When setting New Year’s resolutions, many thoughts go to diet, exercise, and money management. Therefore, with the first quarter of the year, the programs’ focus is on Physical and Financial Wellness.
Take Control, a series of fitness and nutrition classes, offered by NC Cooperative Ext. will be held at the library every Thursday evening (5:30), beginning on January 5, during January and February. This program teaches strategies for participants to develop and implement lifelong habits that include healthy eating and physical activity as part of chronic disease prevention.
Take Control encourages participants toward a healthy lifestyle through goal setting, planning, taking, action, tracking and reflection. Each 1-hour session include a sample of a recipe that reinforces the topic of the week.
