All libraries in the Appalachian Regional Library system are closed to the public and public services staff until further notice. Dementia Support Group- Bimonthly Meetings - Meets the second Tuesday and last Tuesday of each month @ 3:00pm! Open to people living with Dementia, their families, caregivers and friends-connect with others going through same experiences.
Notary Public Services
Fees: $5 per principal signature and $5 per person for oaths or affirmations without signature

Out-of-town visitors are welcome to use the library computers. Children under 18 need parental permission.
- Regular visits to home-bound Watauga County residents
- Deposit collections for daycare centers and elder care facilities
Our outreach van operates each Friday, serving older residents of Watauga County. Library materials have a loan period of 4 weeks. Library staff deliver and pick up library materials.
Our library received a LSTA Grant (Library Services and Technology Act) to enhance our outreach services through Silver E-READ. KINDLES are now available in addition to our standard services. Each library location has KINDLES available for the general public to check out!
