All libraries in the Appalachian Regional Library system, except for the Western Watauga Branch Library, are currently open to the public. Masks are required to enter, and building capacities and length of visits will be reduced for the time being.

The items listed are ones that we are ordering. If a link to an item is not yet live, check back in a day or two. The links are updated as our Tech Services team loads records into our catalog for newly-purchased items. This page will be updated frequently as orders are placed throughout the month.

The Library's Book Club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 4:00 PM. New members are always welcome! Visit the upstairs reference desk for a copy of the current read.

Wilkes Mystery Book Club
The Wilkes County Public Library Mystery Book Club is designed for people who love mysteries, thrillers, and true crime but who also don't have time to attend regular, face-to-face book club meetings. Each month a new book will be selected for the group to read. Each month's book selection will be posted on our Wilkes Mystery Book Club page at https://arlibrary.libguides.com/wilkesmysterybookclub, along with instructions on how to get a copy of the book. A Discussion will be created for each book in our GoodReads group (https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/1066171-wilkes-mystery-book-club), and you can participate any time that's convenient for you.
Wilkes Books on the Small Screen (BoSS) Book Club
The Wilkes BoSS Book Club is for those of us who books of all kinds but don't have time for face-to-face book club meetings. Each month, we will read a different book. Copies of each month's selection will be available at the library a month in advance, or you may choose to download the eBook via our Libby app when available.
