All libraries in the Appalachian Regional Library system, except for the Western Watauga Branch Library, are currently open to the public. Masks are required to enter, and building capacities and length of visits will be reduced for the time being.
Meeting and Study Rooms
Meeting spaces are primarily for the use of the library and for Friends of the Library organizations or other groups whose sole purpose is to support the library. When not being used for library purposes, meeting rooms may be used without charge for non-profit community groups, organizations, civic associations and government groups located in Ashe, Watauga and Wilkes counties.
The Evelyn Johnson Meeting Room can accommodate 100 people, has kitchen facilities with a microwave, and a screen/projection capability. Tables and chairs are available.
Three small study rooms that can accommodate two people each are located in the Reference/Computer Lab area; one has a computer. When not reserved, rooms are available on a first-come, first served basis and sign-in is required.
