Due to rising infection rates, Appalachian Regional Library has resumed curbside and virtual-only services. We will provide updates as soon as we're able to safely re-open our buildings to the public.
Volunteer at Your Library
You can make a difference in the quality of library services in your community by sharing your time and talent. Whether shelving books one morning a week, working behind the scenes for the Friends’ book sales, raising money through the Library Foundation, promoting library programs and outreach through the Friends of the Library, or preparing crafts for a children’s story time, volunteers are essential to making the Ashe County Library the great place that it is.
If you are interested in volunteering, please read the volunteer policy then complete the volunteer application and return it to your library’s Circulation Desk. Volunteers under the age of 18 must provide a parent’s signature on the application form. If you are an adult and would like to volunteer, contact our Circulation Manager at (336) 846-2041, Option 2. If you are 13-19 and would like to volunteer, contact our Adult Services Manager at (336) 846-2041, Option 4.
