Exploring the Wild Outside with Eubanks & Simpson

Description

This fall, Ashe County's literary festival, On the Same Page, presents a special opportunity for you to hear from two North Carolina authors as they launch new books. On Friday evening, November 12 at 7:30 pm at the Ashe Civic Center, Georgann Eubanks, a festival favorite, will read from and discuss Saving the Wild South: the Fight for Native Plants on the Brink of Extinction, which is being released on October 19. Bland Simpson, Kenan Distinguished Professor of English & Creative Writing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and pianist for The Red Clay Ramblers since 1986, joins us to read and discuss his recently published book, North Carolina: Land of Water, Land of Sky.

The next morning, Saturday, November 13, both Georgann and Bland will visit and chat with folks who stop by Old Orchard Creek General Store in Lansing from 9:00 am-11:00 am.

Covid-19 protocols will be followed at both locations at the time of the events.
