All libraries in the Appalachian Regional Library system, except for the Western Watauga Branch Library, are currently open to the public. Masks are required to enter, and building capacities and length of visits will be reduced for the time being.
Meeting spaces are primarily for the use of the library, Friends of the Library, Wilkes Library Endowment or other groups whose sole purpose is to support the library. When not being used for library purposes, meeting rooms may be used without charge for non-profit community groups, organizations, civic associations and government groups located in Ashe, Watauga and Wilkes counties.
Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis and may not be made more than 90 days in advance. For-profit groups and out-of-area non-profit or government groups may use meeting spaces for a fee of $25 per 2 hour block of time.
Spaces available include:
Friends of the Library Meeting room, which is fully equipped with 10 tables, 80 chairs, a wireless projector, speakers, and kitchen
Conference Room, which can comfortably seat 8-10 individuals around a conference table, digital projector available upon request
