All libraries in the Appalachian Regional Library system are closed to the public and public services staff until further notice. More information about services that are available are posted on each library’s page (see tabs below). Curbside pick-up has been cancelled through the end of April. Check your local library's website, Facebook page, or give them a call and leave a message for additional information. Please stay safe and well!
Volunteer at Your Library
You can make a difference in the quality of library services in your community by sharing your time and talent. Whether shelving books one morning a week, working behind the scenes for the Friends’ book sales, raising money through the Library Foundation, promoting library programs and outreach through the Friends of the Library, or preparing crafts for a children’s story time, volunteers are essential to making the Watauga County Public Library the great place that it is.
If you are interested in volunteering, please read the volunteer policy then complete the volunteer application and return it to your library’s Circulation Desk. Volunteers under the age of 18 must provide a parent’s signature on the application form. If you would like further information, contact Billana at (828) 264-8784 ext. 1.
