All libraries in the Appalachian Regional Library system, except for the Western Watauga Branch Library, are currently open to the public. Masks are required to enter, and building capacities and length of visits will be reduced for the time being.

Appalachian Regional Library is a network of libraries across northwestern North Carolina, encompassing Ashe, Watauga, and Wilkes counties. The Appalachian Regional Library promotes knowledge, reading, and imagination; supports and encourages lifelong learning; and contributes to the sense of community and the economic wellbeing of Ashe, Wilkes, and Watauga Counties.
